Procrastination is such an amazing thing sometimes.
It gives me just the amount of excitement I need to put my nose to the grindstone and crank out a solid piece of work.
I’ve been procrastinating on a project I’m dreading, not because it’s hard, but because there’s not one thing I could be LESS interested in spending valuable time on. It feels like busy-work for the sake of busy-work. When you know, at the end of the day, that it doesn’t matter, how much time would you want to spend working on it?
I suppose if I have to look at it in a positive light, I’ve been so much more productive on the projects that have been feeding my procrastination. I’ve completed some healthcare writing ahead of time, have researched work that truly captures my attention (and my heart), I’ve started planning my teaching lessons for next week, and I’ve been able to really put in two hours of studying Euskera every day.
And now, I have two blog entries this week…. 🙂
So, for today’s adventure, I’ve walked over to Okapi, one of my favorite cafés/study spots in Casco Viejo. It’s got the right balance of music, people talking, and workspace for laptops. And once again, the dessert is great! Today’s choice…lemon mousse 😉
